German ww2  Uniform of a Squad leader.

a Hitler Youth Uniform of a Scharführer (Squad Leader)

Hat/Shirt  (Armband , woggle & necktie, Badges) /Belt & Knife/Trousers

(this has been in a Private collection  and "never" on the open market)

 This is a German WWII Hitler Youth hat. Of light brown, cotton construction bearing a HJ German eagle with a metal pin in the front. The RZM tag has can be found on the inside of the leather sweatband marked 263614 and 125 stamped next to the RZM Logo. A leather strap is placed on the front of the hat. Blue piping is seen on the top portion. (Possibly indicating rare Flyer) -  Black leather bill. The interior leather sweatband is hardening slightly due to age and there is sewn contemporary minor repair to the top of the hat.

The Hitler youth diamond insignia is the official emblem for the organization. Of enamel construction. The eagle is of metal construction. The wings are spread, the face is looking to the right. A Pin back permits the eagle to be secured to the hat. Neck Kerchief & Woggle - German World War Two Black Neck Kerchief with Leather Slip Cord

Lanyard, in green rayon.

Shirt has no makers mark.. but carries the RZM Logo and Number  on the aluminium inverted hooks that support the belt RZM M5/75,( Dr. Franke & Co. KG., Lüdenscheid).

Woven Shoulder boards, Youth Rank—Scharführer Squad Leader

The metal button No 11 denotes the HJ Cell and the 565 the Unit.

The two pips indicate the Rank. The shoulder boards are bordered in red.

Area Patch - The Gebietsarmdreieck is the triangular patch above the armband that identifies the area that this HJ member is from - Sud Wurttemberg was part of H-J Gruppa South West—

Badge  HITLER YOUTH PROFICIENCY BADGE. Leistungsabzeichen der Hitler Jugend bade: tyr-rune form back, designed June 1934.

Potsdam Abzeichen ( Potsdam badge )  badge in silver. This is a much rarer version than the standard bronze one. Logo of maker to back... HOFFSTÄTTER  BONN

1937 Rally Pin of white metal, hollow and in fine condition.

Badge - HJ Gefolgschaft or DJ Fahnlein. This is an extremely rare patch and one of the finer insignia of the HJ, vibrant colours.

HJ Armband. Of multi part construction and in fine condition.

Belt & Knife.Standard leather belt and cross support, with an early belt buckle in silver plated steel. There  is a faint RZM stamp and numbering. There is the number 110 stamped in the leather belt.

The knife is set in its metal hanger and correct leather frog, which attaches it to the belt. This is a classic Hitler Youth knife of the type without the "Blut und Ehre" inscription. Seldom do we encounter one of these knives in perfect condition as they were used by boys and although the discipline attached was far more stringent than other Boy Scout groups around the world the fact remains that this is a scouting knife and saw a lot of rough usage during the era. The knife is by Pumawerk (Lauterjung & Sohn) in Solingen, shown by the Logo. This is a nice example of the Fahrtenmesser.

The Hitler Youth (German:  Hitler Jugend  (abbreviated HJ) was a paramilitary organization of the Nazi Party. It existed from 1922 to 1945.

The HJ was the second oldest paramilitary Nazi group, founded one year after its adult counterpart, the Sturmabteilung (SA). It was made up of the Hitlerjugend proper, for male youth ages 14--18; the younger boys' section Deutsches Jungvolk for ages 10--14; and the girls' section Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM, the League of German Girls
